What Happened and How We Fixed It!
At around 11:30 AM on 29 May 2025, we noticed something wasn’t right. The network was acting up – slow connections, some customers couldn’t access services. Our team jumped in immediately to investigate, and after about 1 hour and 30 minutes, the first problem was found: a break in the main fibre line just 310 meters from our data centre!
But wait, it didn’t end there. While the digging team was hard at work, we discovered a second problem on the other side of the line – just to keep things interesting! Repairs had to be done on both ends, so our team rolled up their sleeves and got to work.
We worked through the day (and into the night), with cable splicing, testing, and lots of determination. By 10:00 PM last night, everything was back online and stable.
And here’s the good news – to prevent this from happening again, we’ve now brought in a third backup internet service provider (ISP). This means we’ve got extra protection to keep you connected, no matter what.
We’re committed to keeping you connected, and we thank you for your patience during this time.
